We have a unique collection of aircraft and engines from the Golden Age of British aircraft manufacturing. From the end of WWII until the 1970s, British aircraft designers produced some of the most innovative and advanced aircraft of the day.
The Museum also traces and celebrates Gatwick Airport, including the history of the many commercial airlines that operated from here and its development into the second largest international airport in the UK
Scroll through the images below and click to find out more about the aircraft we have on display.
For those aspiring pilots, we've a full size Robinson R22 helicopter which you can climb inside.
You can also come on in to the cockpit of our Islander aircraft and take the controls for some great photo opportunities!
Museum goers can learn all about the history of Gatwick Airport, the airlines past and present that became integral to it's development and new innovations currently taking place. This exhibit is under development but still provides an interesting insight into Gatwick.
