Gatwick Aviation Museum has a unique collection of aircraft from the Golden Age of British aircraft manufacturing. From the end of WWII until the 1970s, British aircraft designers produced some of the most innovative and advanced aircraft of the day.
The Museum also traces and celebrates Gatwick Airport, including the history of the many commercial airlines that operated from here and its development into the second largest international airport in the UK
Museum goers can learn all about the history of Gatwick Airport, the airlines past and present that became integral to it's development and new innovations currently taking place. This exhibit is currently under development but still provides an interesting insight into Gatwick.
The Charity has ambitious growth plans, with several redevelopments of our site already underway. Over the course of the next 5 years, the Gatwick Aviation Museum will be working towards the completion and development of several commercial projects. Our aim is to enrich the visitor experience, to provide the local community with a place where families can feel inspired together and to make lasting memories.
We are currently developing plans to launch a brand new café. This will be a space for families and friends to enjoy a range of healthy refreshments in our unique green parkland setting.
We are in the early stages of developing a brand new 'all weather' outdoor exhibit. This exhibit will include a range of information about aviation history, and significant moments in aviation.
NEW Play Area
As Charity, we are committed to engaging with children of all ages and abilities. We, therefore, have aspirations to design a unique and relevant outdoor play area that is inclusive for all.
We want to offer our visitors the opportunity to fully enjoy our unique and beautiful parkland setting, and so we are intending to build a brand new outdoor terrace - coming soon!
