Code of Conduct

Professional Conduct


All members GAMC should conduct themselves at all times with integrity and honesty. Respect the dignity of volunteers, other members and staff, respecting their choice,opinions and views.

  • Not exploit any relationship for personal benefit or gain.
  • Strive to uphold good practice standardsof being a member at all times.
  • Strive to uphold the good name of GAMC at all times.
  • Work to ensure the organisation is supported.
  • Act according to the highest standards and respect the organisation, and profession.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations relating to being a GAMC member.




Membership conduct


All members of GAMC undertake to:

  • Uphold the good name and reputation of GAMC at all times.
  • Work to support other members.
  • Actively contribute towards the services and development of GAMC
  • Not knowingly act in a manner inconsistent with this Code, or knowingly cause or permit others to do so.




Breach of the Code of Conduct


A complaint regarding a breach of the Code of Conduct may be made by either a member of GAMC, staff, a GAMC volunteer or a member of the public. The complaint should be in writing, addressed to the Chairman of GAMC and made no later than three months after the date of the alleged breach.





Your Details

Consumer Protection


All applications for membership shall be treated as if the terms of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and EC Directive 97/7/EC applied for the purposes of cancellation. Accordingly any cancellations in respect of these must be made within seven working days of the application being made. Cancellation must be sent by email to hello@gamc.org.uk or by post to Gatwick Aviation Museum, Vallance by-ways, Lowfield Heath Road, Charlwood, Surrey, RH6 0BT, marked for the attention of the Membership Team, or telephone – 01293 862 417




Information Updates


You are responsible for informing us of changes to your personal details. If you are provided with individual passwords for access to our on-line services, these must not be shared with anyone else.




Email Addresses


All Members agree that email addresses and other personal details provided to GAMC may be used for administrative purposes and to fulfil your GAMC membership, this will include GAMC membership e-newsletters.




Invitations


GAMC may send you invitations to take part in surveys or focus groups to ask for your help to shape GAMC's work.




Products and Services


GAMC may send you information about our products and services via email, text message or phone where we feel these would be of interest to you and you have provided your consent to hear from us in this way. We may also send you information about our products and services via post, if you would like us to not contact you in this way then please let us know.




Opting Out


Of course, you can opt-out of these GAMC membership communications at any time, although they form part of your Membership benefits.

Membership Lapse


If your membership lapses we will contact you for a short time to ask whether you would like to rejoin our membership or hear from us about other ways that you can support GAMC's work.

GAMC use the personal information that you provide us to deliver our Membership services. We take your privacy seriously and promise to never sell your data. Subscription

Membership Options


Members shall pay an annual membership fee as set out below: Subscriptions
• Single Membership: £35 per year • Joint Membership: £65 per year • Single Parent Family Membership: £75 per year • Family Membership: £85 per year • Family Three Membership: £90 per year • One of payment: Life Membership: £400 Go monthly options • Single Membership: £3.25 per month • Joint Membership: £5.75 per month • Single Parent Family Membership: £6.55 per month • Family Membership: £7.45 per month • Family Three Membership: £7.85 per month Gift Membership • Single Entry: £10.00 • Single Membership: £40.00 • Joint Membership: £70.00 • Single Parent Family Membership: £80.00 • Family Membership: £90.00 • Family Three Membership: £100.00 Please note that Gift memberships are only valid for 12-months.




Payments


The first year of membership shall operate for 12 months from the date we receive payment of your annual membership fee. For Direct Debit payments, this means your annual membership shall operate from the date that your payment is successfully collected. In the event that we are not able to collect payment on the date specified as your preferred collection date, annual membership will begin on the first date thereafter that payment is successfully collected.




Member Renewals


For members who are renewing their annual membership, membership shall operate for 12 months from the date immediately following the end of your previous membership provided we have received payment of your annual membership fee. In the event we have not received payment of your renewal fee on or before the end date of your previous membership, your renewed membership will be deemed to begin on the date that payment is successfully collected. For Direct Debit payments, this means your annual membership will renew on the date that payment is successfully collected. In the event that we are not able to collect payment on the date specified as your preferred collection date, your annual membership will renew on the first date thereafter that payment is successfully collected.




Our Rights


GAMC reserve the right to withhold membership rights and benefits at our absolute discretion for any period where your annual membership has not been successfully collected. For members who are renewing their annual membership, this may mean that membership rights and benefits are withheld while payment of your renewal fee remains outstanding.




Rolling Payments


Payment by Direct Debit or Standing Order: Before each membership period comes to an end, a renewal notice will be issued. If renewal is not required you must inform GAMC at the earliest reasonable opportunity and at least 28 days before the end of your membership period.




Other payment methods


Payment by Cash, cheque, and credit/debit card: Before each membership period comes to an end, a renewal notice will be issued, and the membership will be discontinued unless a further membership payment is received by you with a wish to continue your membership.




Invoices


Members agree to settle all legitimate invoices by GAMC within 28 days of receipt.




Refunds


Subject to any statutory right to cancel, all membership fees are non-refundable once payment has been received.




Termination


Membership may be terminated at the discretion of GAMC if a Member is considered to be in breach of these terms and conditions, or such removal is sanctioned by a resolution of GAMC's Management Council, provided that in such circumstances, the Member has had a reasonable opportunity to explain to the Management Council why he or she should not be removed.

Northern Ireland


Where you are not a resident of England and Wales, copies of all communications and other materials will be provided to you by email. Where you are a resident of England and Wales, copies of all communications and other materials will be provided to you by post and/or email.

Unless stated otherwise, all publications and materials supplied to Members are the copyright work of GAMC. Members may not reproduce, transmit, distribute, sell or commercially exploit these materials without the prior written consent of GAMC or to the extent expressly permitted by law.




Member Information


All information provided by GAMC to Members is on an "as is basis". Whilst GAMC makes all reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of all such information we cannot guarantee the completeness, quality or non-infringement of third parties rights in relation to these materials.




Membership Application


GAMC may at its absolute discretion refuse the application of an individual to become a member without having to give any reason for its decision. An applicant whose membership application is refused has the right to appeal to GAMC's "Council of Management" against the refusal and the Council of Management will re-consider the application in light of any further information provided by the applicant before reaching a final decision as to whether or not the individual should be admitted as a member.




Liability


In no event shall GAMC be liable to Members or to any other third party for any lost profit, or any special, incidental or consequential damages (however arising, including negligence) arising out of, or in connection with services, benefits and/or products supplied by GAMC. Liability under all circumstances shall be limited to the annual membership fee paid for by the individual concerned. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by GAMC's negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.




Membership after Death


Membership rights shall cease on a Member's death or an individual ceasing to be a Member.




Member Terms and Conditions


These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.




Memorandum and Articles


All members are bound by the Memorandum and Articles of Association of GAMC. A copy of these is available from the Charities Commission. In the event of any conflict between these terms and conditions and the Memorandum and Articles of Association, these terms and conditions shall take precedence.

How do I cancel my membership?


If you would like to cancel you membership, please just email hello@gamc.org.uk If you do not here from us, please call the Charity directly. Please note; Membership cannot will be refunded under our terms and conditions.




Minimum Age


To become a member, you must be a minimum age of 16 years old at time of application.




Transfering Membership


The rights of a Member are personal and cannot be transferred or assigned.

Gift Cards

Why are Gift Membership more expensive?


Gift Memberships are only valid for a limited term either 6 or 12 months only and are considered a one off purchase. One of the key benefits that we offer our rolling members (members who have been members for 12 months or more) is that they will save annually, on their membership fee. Gift Voucher members will still have accesss to the majority of the member benefits that a rolling member will have.




How does my gift card work?
