Event Hire

Can I hold an event at the Museum?

Yes! We are working to ensure that all events are adhering to government guidelines. Please check with us, on what we can do to support your next event with us. Contact hello@gamc.org.uk

How much is it to hire the venue?

We have various packages available and offer bespoke pricing packages.

How do I pay when hiring the venue?

All payments are considered donations and are therefore exempt of VAT.

After your event, you will be sent a donation receipt which will outline, how and when you can make your donation to the Charity. You will not be provided at VAT receipt.

The Charity is under no obligation to except any donation for hiring the venue and can refuse hire to anyone, at any time without reason.

Are you VAT regsitered?

Yes we are!

Events however are agreed on the principal that you as the hirer will make a donation that is pre-agreed by both parties to Gatwick Aviation Museum in exchange for use of the land and therefore these payments are exempt of VAT.

Do I need any special licenses?

You might. If you wish to hold an event that involves licensable activities (alcohol, entertainment or late night refreshment), you must give a temporary event notice (TEN) to the local licensing authority where the premises is based no later than ten working days before the event, excluding the day of the event and the day that the licensing authority and the police receive your TEN. You must be at least 18 years of age to give a TEN and can give a maximum of five (5) TENs per calendar year. If you are a personal licence holder, you can give a maximum of fifty (50) TENs per calendar year. Your event must involve no more than 499 people at any one time, including staff and performers, and last no more than one hundred and sixty-eight (168) consecutive hours with a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours between events. Please note: application fees are non-refundable in the event of cancellation or submission error

Ticket Guarantee

If for whatever reason you cannot attend on the day you have booked, you can use your ticket booking again anytime, on a date of your choosing in the future.

Tickets are non-refundable.

Dates will exclude days where we are not open and public event days.

How long does my ticket last?

There is no time limit on your visit to the Gatwick Aviation Museum – you can stay until we close! Last admission of the day is 16:00 daily. (Fri - Sun) Tickets are non-refundable.

When is the Museum open?

Our opening days will be limited as we work toward regular operations.


FRI - 10:00 - 16:00

SAT - 10:00 - 16:00

SUN - 10:00 - 16:00

Last admission at 4pm

We also also closed between christmas and new year.

2021 Closed from the 27th Dec, reopening again on the 7th Jan 2022.

Please note:

We are a volunteer run organisation, so it is important to call ahead to ensure the museum is open before visiting.

How do I claim a refund for my ticket?

All tickets are recognised as charitable donations and cannot be refunded.

This does exclude event days, that are cancelled.

How do I recieve my tickets?

When purchasing your tickets online, your tickets will be emailed to you.

You must bring either a printed or digital copy with you when you visit, so that every ticket can be accounted for.

How long is my ticket valid for?

Your ticket(s) are valid all year, as long as you use them within the same year they were purchased. Tickets cannot be transferred to the following calendar year.


Who can I visit the museum with?

In line with government advice, we now welcome everyone back to the museum. We are accepting covid-safe group bookings, please email hello@gamc.org.uk for more information. Visitors using special passes or needing other assistance should call the Museum on 01293 862417

Can I buy a Gift Voucher?

Yes you can! Gift Vouchers are available to buy as either a one off day pass, a one month pass, 3 month pass, 6 month pass or annual 12 month membership. To find out more about membership and gift vouchers, please visit the membership page on our webiste. Please remember to bring your voucher with you on the day otherwise you will be charged full admission.

Do I need to pay for parking?

If you are not intending to go into the Museum, but just want to walk the grounds - you must purchase a parking ticket in advance of your visit.

What about Covid-19?

Dont worry! If the Musuem closes due to Covid-19, you can still use your ticket on another date in the future. Tickets are non-refundable.
