Disabled parking is available, plus easy access for wheelchair users and pushchairs. Our grassland may not be suitable in places.

Parking & Access

Parking Fees

Parking on site is free of charge to all Museum visitors. A £2 parking donation will apply to those visiting the grounds only.

We do have toilets, plus one wheelchair friendly disabled toilet on site. Facilities are located inside the main entrance.



Although we do not have a café on site, we do offer a range of refreshments, snacks and ice-creams, at reception.


We have a wonderful range of aircraft and artefacts on display. This will help bring to life the many stories behind British aviation heritage.


Children and the young at heart can get behind the controls inside our in flight simulator, real-size helicopter - new attractions coming soon.

Our engineering 

volunteers are often working on projects. Visitors can watch and ask questions about the current work being carried out.


Our tour guides are regularly on hand to guide our visitors around the Museum and inside some of our beloved aircraft that we have on display.

If you thought we were close to  Gatwick Airport, you're right. Watch the planes take off, from our viewing area (when open).
